Light In the Darkness

Walking with Christ ultimately holds many blessings however, it also means the devil will never stop trying until he destroys you. He will try every avenue, every direction, every possible way to attack everything that concerns you. His attacks are real, coming for our families, our jobs, finance, our relationships. He will stop at nothing until he is satisfied. Your closeness to God will enable safety and peace because God will surround you with the hedge of protection.

After being baptized, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to fast for 40 days and 40 nights. By doing so, Jesus was tested by the devil. You can imagine how tired and hungry Jesus was feeling, but He did not allow the devil to defeat Him; He reverted to the word of God. Do you know why? Because there’s nothing more powerful.

But I am here to tell you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, whatever schemes the devil has planned for you shall not prevail because God is our helper, the maker of the heaven and the earth, He will never sleep nor slumber on his daughters. We must be awake at all times because the devil is after our minds and hearts.

As we enter into a new year, stand firm in the word of God with the full armor of God;

‘’Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

You are reading this today and you know that things have not been feeling right. You are struggling to pray, to pick up your bible, to worship. You are finding that your Spirit is not being fulfilled when you spend time with God. That is spiritual warfare. You are on the battlefield. Declare victory because we serve a mighty God. The power of the Lord reigns over all things and there nothing that the devil can do because God will never lose a battle. It’s time to rise and declare the word of God over your life and watch everything flee from you.

This word came to me so strongly that I just had to pen it down because someone needs to know and hear this. God is your strong tower, He is your fortress, He is your refuge. Tap into the Spirit, be in the Spirit at all times and God will show you great and mighty things.

Be alert with your spiritual eyes and open your mind, be strong in prayer! Get back to the basics, get back in alignment with God.

Let this year be filled with new doors, new levels, and new stories because the devil will never win!!!!
